Language Class for the Crisis Management Parents

Hi:

I've been thinking I'd like my Spanish to get better. Much better. Before my daughters completely outstrip me and make me feel like a tag along south of the border (or worse, planning clandestine meetings with boys before my very ears).

Rebecca said she'd supply space if I can find a teacher and organize.

I'm figuring just a class a week (in conjunction with some other taped media on my own time) for live practice with live people-- maybe something that parallels the ISB lesson plan. But when to do? My schedule is reasonably flexible, but all things considered would be easiest during aftercare so there is efficiency along with a reasonably priced and built in childcare system . The other option is an early evening class, with some arranged childcare support on site (the teacher/sitter tag team).

It shouldn't be too expensive. Less the more people. Slightly more for those, like me, with childcare needs. Can you let me know if you are interested and what might best suit? An hour class either at 3, 4, 5 or 7? I'm thinking Tuesday or Thursday, but list two preferences along with your interest. I can be swayed. Don't think I can reasonably organize before early January though. It's possible there could be both a late afternoon and an early evening class with the same teacher/sitter and enough interest.

Email me if you'd like to be involved and include a couple of options on what might work best for you. I'll try as best I can to make things work for everyone.

Thanks

Great idea Tim. I am currently taking a class at Cooper Union once a week and would prefer not to travel to the city at night. My current class is an one hour and a half a week and allows for some conversational time with the classmates. It works for me but would be better if it were at ISB. I could do it Tuesday or Thursday and I'm leaning toward an evening hour such as 7 or 7:30 instead of after school. I'm afraid that my choices for after school programs wouldn't match up on the same day as the adult class. In any case, I'm in! Kris Gregory

I would love this. And could just as easily make anytime work. I'm just excited about the idea of learning more Spanish!

Thanks, and I look forward to working this out in the very near future.

Thanks, Tim. I would like to join a class and an evening at 7pm would work for me (6:30 even better).

Tim,

Evenings work better for me. Oliver is quickly surpassing me so I really want to keep up!! I have ideas for a teacher too so let's touch base. Rebecca
